About this site
Maaaaaan, there are a lot of BBQ channels on YouTube today. When I first got into BBQ, it was mostly guys talking about competition BBQ techniques for the backyard. Sure, I tried that stuff, and it was okay. But then I had great BBQ at Hoodoo Brown BBQ in CT, and I realized I'd never truly had good BBQ before that moment.
From there, I was on a quest. I even had some downtime with a hip replacement(I'm not old, just had a wonky hip), giving me plenty of time to consume a ton of content and become hyper-focused. The first channel to really show me I'd been doing it wrong was Joe Yim's—back before the name change to Knox Ave BBQ. Joe is easily the best teacher on YouTube. Then I found Chud, who blew up fast, but Joe's videos are still the best at explaining the how and why of BBQ.
Fast forward 4-5 years, and there's so much content out there—not all of it great. So, I'm here to cut through the fat and bring you the best of the best. Each week, we'll round up all the good stuff happening in the world of BBQ.
